Construction update: Veltins Bierhalle, a German pub in downtown Tacoma

There's been talk for some time now of a German-style beer hall coming to downtown Tacoma. Veltins Bierhalle, planned for the vacant Neener's space at 24th and Pacific, is a little behind schedule, but still moving forward.

Clearly the beer hall won't be opening this month, as originally planned; it's looking more like an Oktoberfest opening. This week the TNT has more on the plans - and challenges - for the Bavarian-themed beer hall.

  Hi Renee - It looks like they're still on track, according to a post on the Berliner Pub Facebook page last month: "... The name will now be Berliner Beer Hall and things are moving along nicely. We expect to be open this spring, hopefully May. We do have a Facebook page under Berliner Beer Hall where I post updates now and again and will definitely keep everyone informed when the opening will be! We are working hard to quench everyone's thirst! ..."
