Dangerous Domains: A conversation with Tacoma building inspector Dan McConaughy

Dangerous buildings are structures in the City that go beyond "derelict" buildings in terms of owner neglect. These boarded up buildings with the "Do Not Occupy" signs are more than just eyesores. 

They're often vandalized, occupied by squatters, and stripped of any copper by metal thieves. Due to property owner neglect and poor building condition, they've been deemed dangerous to the public health, and slated for demolition by the City.
