How Tacoma's Spaceworks Works

Spaceworks Tacoma's Creative Enterprises program is looking for its next round of small businesses and nonprofits to support, promote, and house under its Creative Enterprise program.

Spaceworks supports creative enterprises in three categories - Creative Enterprises for creative and innovative small businesses, Art Residencies for practicing visual and performing artists, and Artscapes for installations of art in publicly visible spaces. The Creative Enterprise program puts new businesses, artists, and nonprofits into vacant retail and office spaces in downtown Tacoma, and provides them with professional development training.

The program currently operates mainly in the downtown core, with a few locations in the Hilltop, but plans for the future widen horizons for Spaceworks, with Ruston Way up next for creative reinvigoration.
