Psst: The Forum folks are taking over the Paddy Coyne's spot in downtown Tacoma

When Paddy Coyne's closed its doors this summer, we were hoping the space near the north end of Pacific Avenue wouldn't stay empty for long, and it looks like it won't.

NW Military reports that the dark and cozy restaurant/bar is now owned by Tim Mellema, who operates The Forum, which recently opened its doors in Puyallup.

It sounds like they're hoping to have the doors open for business before the end of 2013 - perhaps in time for a holiday party or two around the fireplace...
