Campbell to Run for District 4
Marty Campbell has filed the paperwork to run for the City Council seat to be vacated by Rick Talbert. District 4 is largely the Eastside of Tacoma and Marty is a longtime resident of the area. He owns Buzzard’s Music near UWT and Stadium Video.
He’s probably best known to Exit133 readers for his involvement in the Downtown Merchants Group, New Tacoma Neighborhood Council, and his bid for the very competitive District 8 at-large seat in 2007.
This is getting interesting … Next!

Don’t trust anyone over 35.

Marty is over 35? He doesn’t look a day over, uh, 24. Yeah that’s it. Twenty-four, that’s the ticket.

This man will stop at nothing. I am sure “Our Mayor” will be in full support of this candidate. I do not want to see this man on the council!!!

TTL@7: there is a technical term for making a comment by not making a comment, n’est pas?

There is only one other person who I would consider voting for for this seat and she has decided not to run this time but is endorsing Marty. As a long time resident, we need his fresh perspective – yes – his stop at nothing attitude, and his ability to get things actually done for actual people. Marty has my vote!

Marty has covered every square inch of this city, meeting people and concerning himself with the issues in every step. He will make a great council member.

is it wrong to vote for somebody just because you like the selection at their video store?
If i could vote for marty I would. But I cant… so I’m signing up with ACORN instead.

I have taken note NOT to be on TV After working back to back 15 hour days.
Thank-you everyone for the support.

Marty… you’re not in my district, but I still wonder:
Do you have an “official” site with your views and such?
