City Council Meeting - Mar. 4, 2008

Quick. Clean. Efficient. It’s how we like our City Council.

  • The American Red Cross Mount Rainier Chapter was recognized for their response to the floods last December and their ongoing work in the community.
  • Dr. Maxine Mimms was recognized for her lifetime of work in education, including her role in bringing Evergreen State College to Tacoma.
  • A purchase resolution and several contracts were approved.
  • During the Citizen’s Forum period the Council heard an earful about the Sperry Ocean Dock and Walk the Waterfront.

That’s it. Nothing more. Time for dinner.

RR – I love it. Are you going to provide captions for every Citizen’s Forum?

RR: Remind me to NOT take part in the public comment period!

yes. My goal is to get more people to be interested in the community forum on TV Tacoma. I want folks to be able to recognize people on the street and have compassion for the engine driving them.

I will forge new connections to people orphaned by civilization.
