Sneak Peek: City Council This Week

Study Session

Heading up the agenda for this week’s City Council Study Session is one of our perennial favorites: “Other Items of Interest.” The possibilities are vast. No matter what the items end up being, we are promised they will be of interest. We can hardly wait…

Waterfront Stuff

This week’s City Council meeting promises a list of resolutions proposing the adoption of various reports, plans, guidelines and analysis pertaining to the waterfront, as well as the second reading of Ordinance No. 28034, the ordinance proposing the adoption of the SMP itself. The AMP ordinance includes the eight amendments discussed at Council two weeks ago, and we’re guessing it won’t go to a vote without a little further comment. But you never know.

We’re hoping for another lively round of public comment and Council discussion on the SMP. Do you have something to add to it?

Other Resolutions and Ordinances

In other news, we’ll see quite a few other resolutions and ordinances, including several resolutions authorizing collective bargaining agreements, and a couple more items following from the personnel/compensation discussions of the last couple weeks. We’ll also hear a first reading of Ordinance No. 28039, adopting the Six-Year Comprehensive Transportation Program for amended year 2011, and 2012-17.

Any thoughts?
