Tonight’s City Council meeting lasted 23 minutes including committee reports and other end of meeting ephemera. That said, there was singing!
Nobody came up during public comment. Here are our notes:

Resolution No. 37985 authorizes the execution of a grant agreement with the Washington State Department of Ecology in the amount of $216,250; accepting and depositing said sum into the Solid Waste Fund; and authorizing a required grant match of $72,083, to promote waste prevention and recycling activities.
PROCLAMATIONS
Mayor Strickland proclaimed February 21, 2010 as Crystal Aikin Day in the City of Tacoma to honor singer and Tacoma native Crystal Aikin, 2008 winner of BET’s inaugural season of Sunday’s Best gospel competition. Aikin sang at the podium prior to accepting the proclamation. We’ve never seen anybody sing their comments to Council before. Very cool.
