Whitney Brady Announces His Candidacy for District 3 of Tacoma City Council

Lifelong Hilltop Community Activist launches campaign that is fighting for the “rights and concerns of real people”
Tacoma, WA March 16, 2015 – Whitney Brady, a lifelong Hilltop Community Activist from Hilltop, Tacoma, formally announces his campaign for the seat of District 3 of Tacoma City Council.
Notable campaign endorsements include: Eric Herde of Pierce County Young Democrats, Kerry Williams of Dub City Studios, Jamika Scott of #blacklivesmatter, Dion Thomas (owner of Gallery of Ambition), Bob’s Barbeque, and Good Fella’s Barbershop.
Some of Whitney’s past accomplishments include securing Tacoma with the largest low-income housing allocation in the history of Pierce County and gathering formal community-support for increasing youth-art programs.
Whitney’s running on a platform consisting of low-income housing, Homeless and Youth services, Community and Cultural preservation, police-accountability, family-wage jobs and raising the minimum-wage.
